Finally in a position for a fun toy. Not exactly a sports car, but it could be when I'm done.

Sports car? What you been smokin'?
Nice old car, yes. Sports car....uh, no.
Weee! Another fairlane owner!
Sweet rumbly V8 goodness
.
Love the red-on-black!
Sweeeet!
That looks like it is in great shape. Do you have big plans for it or is it a driver for the season?
Very nice
260 or 289? My Dad had a '63 with a 289. It ran really strong. I found out years later that the only 289 that came in '63's was the 271hp hipo 289. Crap.

You obviously have not seen the suspension systems available for this car.

The 63s also came with a 221 V8 (at least in Canada they did). Same with the Mercury Meteor version of the Fairlane body shell.

Let me catch up. . .

Yes, and not only that, it was the only year for the 5-bolt 289.
This one is a 260 and will stay that way for a while but will swap in 4 bbl and cam. Big block is tempting but too much engine bay cutting is involved.

It'll be in storage for another year while I do another DAC (Department of the Army Civilian) deployment for the depot. After that, the usual Johnny Rockets cruises and ice cream runs with the kids.
Is that a PA car? It looks a little familiar.

How well does a 351W fit in one of those? A 408 based on a 351W would have all the fun of a big block without all the weight and girth.
cool

Yes, it's a PA car. NEPA to be exact.
