They may have a turbo diesel in them. Check with Mexico, they just stopped making Hardbodies there.

Another thought on urea. Does it have to be filled by the dealer to keep warranty or can one do it on their own? The hassle of going to the dealer for a refill is something else to consider in the "cost" of ownership.

probably in the short run. The plan would be to have it available at a truck stop or gas station in the future. Truckers will have a big tank and need it filled. Big Truck usuage will really drive the price down and all big engine manufacturers will require it.

with all this talk about urea... what about some that don't need urea.... I'm strongly considering a VW TDI, I like the idea of 40+ mpg on the hiwy.... you all have beat up on the big trucks and their diesels how 'bout some props / cons on the smaller ones ?

Yeah, the Ram doesn't need urea and makes 600+ ft lbs I think. I also heard it can get 30+ mpg when driven by the Keebler elves

new new ram will need urea and most likely won't be over 700 ft-lb. I can't tell you why I know this or how I do.. just that the program was canceled for reasons.
