    So cool. Soooo soooo cool

    I love the way the "roll back" works with the pivoting axle. Gotta love unimogs as well.

    Aw that thing is SWEET! I always loved my Tonka. And that pivoting axle thing is very cool.

    I love how they took out the rear drive axle and used the transfer case to make the truck front wheel drive.

    I've seen pictures of similar haulers built out of FWD cars... (actually on this forum, IIRC).

    That idea is at least 35 years old, cause Pop and I were going to do that. I'm sure we weren't the first to think of it though, right?

    looks like ti's based ont he unimog which I believe has gear reduction units in the wheels for added ground clearance like the hummer, that would allw for the wheel pivot as shown

    it is a unimog. There is no rear drive axle. Check it out.

    Given that the truck was built that way back in 1966, I think it's fair to say the idea's at least 41 years old
