$2500 for a Celica with stickers?

seems pretty reasonable. that is a clean Celica GT for the money.

2500 reserve not met doesnt mean much.. Also, it doesnt say that it WASNT rallyed that i noticed in skimming the ad.. it did talk about having to do bodywork and be repainted, which may just be because he was going for looks or may be because he took out his stock hood and bumper cover by hitting a deer just after touching down from a sweet jump out on a stage

I hope his exhaust is super obnoxious like the real thing. Pretty entertaining cosmetic build.

That's very well done, and is missing but a motor/drivetrain swap to take it from neat poseur-mobile to awesome chariot of win.
I'd pay $5k for that. Maybe more.
Yes. It is possible to dump the AWD running gear under this car.

My opinion- Right now all it really is is a cop magnet.

It's cool. It's not like the stock motor is capable of even speeding on the interstate.

Just blame the lack of power on the Turbo restrictor mandated by the FIA

Nah. Gotta stick with my roots for a variety of reasons:
1) 3sgte > F2T
2) The transmission options are MUCH more appealing with a 3sgte. The fact that an S54 transmission originally attached to a 5sfe motor is WAY stronger than the H-series Mazda crap transmission paired with the F2T speaks volumes. Need i even mention the nuclear bomb-proof E153?
Remember, i'm not REALLY a Mazda guy.

Yeah yeah yeah...
The wheels are fine, and the rest are pretty cheap, though.
You could go at it two ways.
Street/non-rally: Caldina GT4 swap, fmic, Yellows and GCs, whiteline swaybars, 7th gen GTS seats, open downpipe. Done. 300+whp.
Rally: ST205 drivetrain swap.

Do you think you would get the real Celica rally car for $2500?
I still think it is a neat street car, nicely done, not just another Dale Jr Monte Carlo

The total lack of a rollcage is sort of a dead giveaway that it hasn't been rallied.

For $2500, why bother fixing it? Scrap yard
