I wonder what eventually tipped them off that something wasn't right? The shower of sparks? The smoke? The awful screeching? The parade of people pointing and laughing?

Coming from motorcycles, I've always thought of asphalt as an abrasive. I never thought to use it to grind down the entire underside of a car, however.

you'd think it just would have broken park gear.
I saw an aztec drive by my house with one completely flat tire and another tire down to the rim. Just some old guy, throwing sparks, doing 45 mph.
You could hear him coming from about 2 miles away.

Is it true that towing a car behind a motorhome can really have a affect on mpg?
How much HP do you need to drag a Vue around the highway?

there was something similar a couple years ago where someone pulled an explorer sport trac in park. it ground the wheels, brakes, and started into the axle housing before they finally stopped.

I see the problem. The wheels are supposed to be round.

And now they're probably going to sue GM for letting them be this stupid.

I wonder what it will cost their insurance to re-pave 10 miles of interstate?

Kinda like one of those low riders with the skid plates that throw the sparks but not in a good way since it has no skid plate, is not a low rider and it was not intentional..

Saw an old Ford pick up being towed in Arizona that they had forgotten to take out of gear. Column shift was in gear and the engine was puking oil and smoke. I stopped them on the side of the road and they took it out of gear. I dont know wxactly what happened, they tried to explain and thank me but they were Mexican and spoke no engrish. I dont speak Spanish very goodly.

Clark: Oh, you can't think I'd do this on purpose? Look... I tied him to the rear bumper while I was packing the car. It was very confusing. I must have forgot. I'm very sorry, I feel terrible.Motorcycle Cop: How do you think that little dog feels?
Clark: Look, I told you I was sorry. It really was an accident.
Motorcycle Cop: Well, I guess I can buy that, sir. But it is a shame. I had a pooch like this when I was a kid.
[both Clark and the motorcycle cop sorrowfully look at the empty road behind them]
Motorcycle Cop: Poor little guy. Probably kept up with you for a mile or so. [tearing up]
Motorcycle Cop: Tough little mutt...
