How hard is it to change these on a C2500 w/ 6.5 turbo diesel and a 4L80E? Slow leak at the rear, and the line has two patches, of which one is leaking and the other is detereorating. Parts are cheap enough at rock auto, and I figure that I can do the job while I change the fluid in a couple weeks time. Any tips, tricks, hints, or is it a straight forward job?

Pretty straight forward. Lines will probably be a wiggle and twist/turn affair to get them in and out. Seal is just a D/S removal, hammer and screwdriver away from being fixed.

Sweet, something that I can easily do. I was expecting to hear that the engine needs removal or something awful like that for the lines. Why they were patched and not replaced is beyond me.
