OK well, check turbo first then onto other things...

Alright, spent a couple hours messing with it today.
Turbo has very slight shaft play, but no more than it did when i first installed it. There is NO in and out play at all. No real oil accumulation in intercooler pipes, just the normal couple light streaks.
Checked the PCV, it rattled when i shook it, but wasn't seating in the valve cover very well. I could pull it out with no force at all, so it definitely wasn't sealing correctly. I don't know if this would cause smoking, but i swapped valve cover and PCV anyways. (To a shiny polished valve cover ooooOOOOO!!!!)
No smoke on the 30 minute drive home from the garage.
Will monitor this week and see what i find.
