My god, that's a traffic ticket nearly ONCE every TWO YEARS! He must NEVER stop terrorizing other drivers with his reckless behavior to rack up a whole half a ticket EVERY YEAR! I hope he ends up in a maximum security joint, we need to keep this MADMAN off our streets!

Rocco looks quite happy in his muggy. I suppose if I had a classic Corvair I would be too.

    I used to have a '64 when I was 17, another car that I let down :(

The man is a picture of consistency, what do they want of him.

Seriously though who would you rather see on the road the guy who enjoys driving briskly or the left lane hog at 62 mph in the 65 zone, yelling at his three unruly kids in the 10 year old mini van with original tires.

Some notes on the driver (from another forum):

    • Only one of those tickets is for speeding
    • He is a regular autoXer
    • Note the time he was driving in this "construction zone"... a few minutes to midnight.

I get at least one ticket every two years, but I've only been driving for 14 years. Whoever wrote that agendized, tabloid piece of crap masquerading as news can blow me.

A good friend of mine sincerely believes that if you don't get at least two tickets a year, you are wasting too much time.

I thought it funny how they called it a "busy thoroughfare" at that time of night. Naperville is apparently the city that never sleeps!

Naperville, ever been there? Not much to look at, My ex wife was from the Chicago area, Aurora to be exact (sp?) She went to school in Naperville, if I remember correctly almost everything is closed by like 9pm.

That's got to be the definition of slow news day. Hey look, this guy has managed to get 14 tickets for minor traffic violations over the past 27 years. Wow!

I can almost picture the Naperville cop beat reporter casting about for ANYTHING resembling a story that day.

    Or you're not gettin caught.

My only ticket in 12 yrs of driving, was in Massachusetts for not wearing my seatbelt. I'm from NH and we don't have that rule ( yet) so I didn't think anything of not wearing it. There has been plenty of times I shoulda been caught and hauled away for speeding, reckless driving, etc.

LOL seems like a cool guy, we should get him on here. I'm sure any one of us would have more (and worse) tickets if we were unlucky Could he be running a Porsche turbo flat 6 in that Corvair?

I was going to ask just where in the heck Naperville was (I couldn't tell from the newspaper site), but you've now answered my question. A major metropolis, apparently.

I love the utter lack of reading comprehension of most of the commentators. They all seem to be convinced that he's had 14 reckless driving infractions.

    Smack!

I currently have a stock engine in mine, and am certain it will do 100 ( I am borrowing the engine so I am being nice to it), and it's not even one of the hi-po ones (4 carb or turbo)

    Smack! Smack!

You don't need no stinkin' Porsche turbo to push 100. I have cruised down the highway at over 90 in mine (not stock, but it its not a Porsche or a turbo)

BTW - I looked it up. He has a 65 Turbo that has some mods (his car was placed in an improved stock class at a track event)
