Wow. That looks like, um...part of a Ford E-Series van up front, a Ram truck in the back, and some amalgamation of truck and van in the middle. I imagine they needed a vehicle for a very specific use case, and customizing it was the only way to get it.

Cool! Your real life commute encounter is imitating my "art". I was playing around with crude picture chops about a year ago.

Yep, no clue. Tried to get closer but could not. It was wearing dealer plates though, so I assume it is owned by a dealership.

Looks like somebody built their own modern version of the Centurion.

1975 FJ55.
Smelled like it could use some new rings.  Hasn't been smogged since 2002 & not a chance it'd pass today.

Heading home last night, a pretty dirty I-TR. If it was a copy, it was a good one, because it definitely had a B18C and a close-ratio box, based on how fast he was shifting.

The prior afternoon in heavy traffic. Couldn't figure this one out, as it had Oregon plates (I live in Virginia)

And, a few minutes after that

spotted on a little parking lot called the 14th St bridge in DC.

Virginia tags.  Vitz badge in the center of the hatch.  Two door.  Driver looked like the dorky guy who played rap music then rolled up his window in Office Space.  Very strange.  Canadian import?  I've only ever seen the sedan here before and a few in of these in the UK.  1st generation that is.  smiley

I saw this when I was shopping today. I don't think I've ever seen one with a hardtop. Solid car but desperately in need of a good detail. An older guy came out but he didn't seem to want to talk or he was in a hurry. He did mention that he owned 7 of them and if I wanted to buy one.

I didn't get a picture, and I didn't see IT commuting but as I left my shop in PA to head home today I saw what appeared to be a Rallycross civic in advan paint scheme. Pretty cool.

I saw this in the parking lot while autocrossing a few weeks back.  The diplomat plates always deliver with something weird.

Saw this parked next to my new to me car at Aldi.    Never thought I would see a Delorian used for a milk run

Makes sense. It can get you back home 5 minutes before you left for the store cheeky

I love those trucks. My father's last 7up truck was a 1319.  Painfully slow but as reliable as gravity.

Wasn't able to snap a picture of it, but I'm pretty sure this is the same Explorer I saw on my drive to work this morning or belongs to the same owner. There can't be that many done up like this in north Georgia - according to this guy's site, he has two of them.

Numbers like that are why I distrust pretty much anything that people say the US should model after Europe.

I don't believe ours was quite that bad, but medium duty trucks in general were pretty anemic then.  It replaced a 4 year old GMC with a 366 gas motor that was pretty well used up.  The Benzs kept going for a good 20 years.
