From what I've heard from the two prior owners of this car I guess it's been about 7-8 years since it started. It runs and sounds strong. Now there's a loooooong list of everything else to make it go and stop. It'll be close... I hope it handles... See ya in 3 days and 19 friggen hours...

Now why would the cosworth MG now be named "Uranus"?

The two previous owners could be anyone on the clown's team. It's first appearence was at the $1500 Challenge in 1999 - it's last appearence was about seven years ago.

    How close AM I?

I thought this was the lead in to a joke.

This isn't the MGVC coming back. It's called Uranus since the actual name has to do with the universe and it's butt-ugly. So, as I mentioned before, our slogan is "Fast, butt ugly." Oh, my other Challenge cars sucked, this one blows....

See ya in 3 days and 10 friggen hours...

One of you guys got it right! You win an autographed World's Fastest Clown poster/dart board. I went to put the new front calipers on and of course one is friggen wrong! The line is supposed to seal on a flare, and it's the wrong type of flare.... Tried cutting the hose fitting and use a squish washer to find that the seat area isn't flat enough... So now I need a correct caliper AND another new brake hose. 2 days and 17 friggen hours!

Even if it wasn't me can I have a poster?

Plenty of time to get it sorted.

Anybody with a classic Mini gets a poster! No replacement caliper until Wed. noon! I hope this has a good tranny in it!?! Our test time will probably be the test of driving it onto the trailer...

It runs, drives, stops and turns with 20 friggen hours to go! It's running 10.5 on the wide band with 11psi, I guess it's time to turn it up until it gets to the 12.5 range... Still have to do some spring cutting, but it finally looks like Uranus will be there! Remember, when you look inside Uranus, it's not as pristine as the Nissan 343...

12.5 is kinda close for a boosted application, if you know what Uh mean. Why not keep it around 11.5:1 for a little safety?
