    I've got my fingers crossed.

Doesn't sound like they're changing much, other than the name and replacing the already very infrequent Discovery Channel rerun nature show filler with even more rerun car/bike show filler.

Yeah, we'll see. Looks like they're going to clone what Speed does. Hell, even the name is cloning. One has Barrett Jackson, the other has Meceum.

Wonder if they'll make a play at NASCAR too...

I'll wait to dish up my negativity until I see what they really dish out to us.

Articles in the past said there'd be a number of new shows and series based upon cars. My daughter was even approached about producing a neat sounding series. She declined but I'm hoping someone else did it.

I'm not being negative, I'm watching the channel right now in fact. I just don't think the re-branding carries much significance from the promos I've seen.

I don't think some of you read the article, it's not all about vehicles....some NFL coverage, cool tech/gadget shows, etc.

So is it going to be that ultimate man channel spike was supposed to be? They weren't bad until they started showing Star Trek, now it's all berkeleying CSI reruns. I only watch for the powerblock anymore.

You aren't watching Velocity because it doesn't start until the 4th. The early press releases mentioned a lot of shows that aren't mentioned in the latest one. Is that because they didn't spring for the money to make new shows until the channel is active or almost active?

I do know for a fact that there were several new series that were in the works a while back. What I don't know is if they've been shot or are ready for prime time.

The intent is there to really step up the content. Hopefully that won't get killed of by the bean counters.

Speed channel isn't all vehicles either.

I'll wait to judge. Some of the shows they are going to show I already watch anyway. Honestly its probably not gonna change much.

All I hope is that they show the last 4 seasons of Wheeler Dealers that we're behind on.

Heck even if we only get one or two decent new programs out of the whole thing that will be one or two decent programs we don't have now.

I too will have my fingers crossed...
