Reading the comments proves once again you can't please everybody. I say good job. The WRX and STI are IMO great cars and basically in a class by themselves, except for the Evo which I also like. Subaru is big on "embargos" which is what tipped me off and what car it probably was.

maybe they'll make a version of the toyobaru FT86 thingy....
then again, Subaru for so long has used the ultra-strong B-pillars as a major structural component...maybe they don't know how to do without :)

Remember the Subaru Scrambler show car from a few years ago? A two seater convertible with a WRX drivetrain. Sweet car, a little odd looking but Subaru was likely smart for letting that one go. Might be hard to make money in that segment.

An answer regarding the wide-body WRX's suspension:
To create the wider front track the lower control arms were changed. For the rear, the hub housing assembly was changed to the STI type.

More of the stuff I like, (suspension,leather) and no increase in what I don't.(Electronic gizmos, bluetooth etc)
I would say that Subaru made my favorite car (STI 5door)even better.
That sounds like progress to me.

Thanks Tom - I thought I was first, but now it is hard to tell as nearly every post on page 1 has been edited to show the right answer. I haven't read the review yet, but I will eventhough I'm not in the market for a new new car.

I applaud your journalistic coup, and found the reviews useful. Personally, it is the cars under review that I do not consider particularly "special" or "new". Kaizenized "special editions" are all to common these days...
That being said, hitting a few cones is no reason to load up the trailer... maybe try another line next time and you might carry more speed through the exit...

Believe me, don't get it fixed until AFTER the warranty period is up. As a matter of fact don't drive it until the warranty period is up. We had a 2010 WRX STi with a "stock tune" that was denied when the engine did it's best IED impersonation. Wether there was a tune on it or not is unknown, it seems while our tech sees nothing logged the Subaru rep does.

Obviously there's some real issues to overcome, but would people pay for it?
Does Mitsubishi sell more Evo X's or Ralliarts? That should answer the DSG question nicely.
Word on the street is the Mitsu DSG is s00per strong. I recently saw one at a track day making SERIOUS power, and the guy just concentrated on driving.

but replace them with their Citroen equivallent shockingly returning to the US, and then it would have been SPECIAL. And I don't like French cars- it's just that it would be so unique.
The way you put it seemed to imply that it was something we've not seen here, either ever or for a LONG time.
