New from Maxxis: updated tire compounds for its popular VICTRA VR-1 and VICTRA RC-1 tires. “We listened to our customers and engineered a brand-new compound that is focused on improving dry lap times, heat resistance and overall wear pattern while retaining everything else you love,” explains the company’s John Wu.

We were very impressed with the S2 compound VR-1 we ran at a ChampCar race earlier this year. Good, predictable grip that can be pushed and abused. Wear isn't quite as good as the RS-4 we normally run, but the price is right and they come in the sizes we use.

Yep, always good seeing more companies offer tires for our world.

Is there some reason they don't make 19" tires, not enough demand?

How was the relative speed to the RS4's?
