Is 44.920 faster than 18 parsecs?

    That is completely badass.

I spent the weekend getting to know the new-to-me Radical doing a TT at Summit point to get ready for race school this week - once that's out of the way and I buy a set of 25B compound scrubs from the eBay Hoosier scrubs guy I can't wait to try some BM AX with it.

What sort of alignment numbers do bias ply Hoosiers like for autocross? I'm at about -1° F, -.75°R camber, a tiny touch of rear toe in, no toe front. Close enough?

It is under 12 parsecs, but it doesn't matter its a bit prettier than the falcon.

    In reply to imirk:

Wow I am now even nerdier than I thought! You are correct sir! But in my defense. A parsec is a measure of distance not time. In order to do the run in less than 18 parsecs Han Solo had to cut corners. Per clearly didn't miss any corners!

I was wondering if you could get a smaller steering wheel?

The falcon's got it where it counts

Looks like you need a longer throttle throw to make throttle on/off less jerky.

When driving my shifter kart, I've found that if the abrupt power delivery doesn't allow me to be smooth with the throttle I am sometimes faster if I go up a gear. Up a gear the kart may not be on the pipe hence down on power but I can be waaay more accurate with power and steering. This lets me get the kart to the apex properly so I can then unleash the beast, er, hammer the throttle. And a four-cycle motor has a much broader powerband than my two-cycle kart.

For sure, watching a video is no substitute for being there and it might not work in your situation. It's just something that occurred to me watching your Kessel Run.

Yep, that's about right---we're in the 1 degree area front and rear. Rear is toe'd in by about 1/8 and the front is 1/8 toe out.

Fantastic run, Per. Congrats on the FTD! Beating Matt's F125 is no easy feat, and you did it handily.

My third run was smoother on throttle and a little faster--but hit a cone and I shut it down through the finish sections as I knew it wasn't the good one.

Steering wheel is actually perfect for that car. Plenty of clearance for legs and quite easy to steer. Helps to have only 200lbs on each front wheel. Per

The Rad has a similarly tiny wheel and fast steering ratio. The feedback is amazing.

The throttle travel is really long - it helps w/ smoothness for sure.

Here's a clip of how slowly you can drive one of these cars. I just wanted everyone to be able to get a ~really ~ good look at it...

On the way back, after the offsets but before the hump, it looked like you got sucked in to the apex cone on that 2 cone slalom thing. I got that right once, and was able to take it flat. The other 2 times I also got sucked in by the apex cone. $.02, etc.

Car looks awesome. So glad you had a drama-free event.

That's one helluva course. Round here I ain't never seen one that open and fast, if they were, I'd get back into autocross!

Oh and that green thing's a monster

Gotta love this car. I, unfortunately, would never be able to drive it b/c my brain just doesn't work that fast anymore. I can't imagine being able to process the course at that speed. Yes, I realize its easier live than on tape, but WOW!

Fortunately, my SE-R has enough "slow" built into it to allow me to keep up.

wow, seeing as 18 parsecs is 3.45 × 10^14 miles... where in the heck do you find a venu for that?

@Dave---yea, I never felt like I nailed those offsets on Saturday--at least on my first two runs. My third one, I clipped a cone earlier and pushed it really hard through these offsets, but then overcooked the 90 after the dip---so

The LeGrand is so capable that you think there's more out there---but in reality, there's little way for a normal human to get that out of it—because it would take superhuman timing on the steering/throttle.
