Picked up this at the junkyard while I was getting parts for the winterbeater and the challenge car:

Its an instrument panel from a 1961 Jaguar Mark 2. If I ever get around to building a hot rod, maybe this will go in it. I love how substantial the switches are. If I'd had more time, Id've grabbed the speedometer with the tiny tach inset in it.

BTW - The car looked too far gone to be a restoration candidate, but it looks like it had quite a few good parts still on it. I think the seats were salvageable, and it looked like all the glass was good.

Oh Man! Those are freakin' cool! You should really think about going back for the speedo/tach! Really cool.

I had a good junk yard day myself, but nothing as cool as that! Gotta start looking at old Jags.

I wonder if that has the E-Type 3.8 in it. I'd love to just have one of those on a stand in my garage.

    Nice score!

uncle had one of those jags, stored it in our garage for a short while, I recall looking in it and seeing all of those switches, I thought it was cool.

The light switch with the classic 3 positions of Off, Dim and Flicker, is just too cool.

That's where you plug in your Fuzzbuster.

I may wander up there next weekend for the speedo/tach, if I've got the spare time. I was a little uncertain how much would need to be removed to get to it. May also research what some of the parts go for, and snag a few. Its a little sad to see something like that in the yard, hopefully they let it sit for a while before it goes to the crusher, so as many useful parts as possible can be salvaged.

Woody, not sure what size the engine was, but it was a DOHC inline six with really sweet looking cam covers. Sadly, someone had already pulled the head loose, and left it open, there was water in the cylinder bores
