A Wartbaru. Any reason you can't use the Scooby 'box? Already (allegedly) able to handle the HP, more easily available than the 915.

Rotates the wrong way when spun around for a rear engine setup. A company has finally come out with a new R&P to reverse the rotation for the sandrail guys but its about a $4000 conversion. I can get a stout enough VW box built up for about $1000 so that may be the plan if needed.

The stock VW box will handle 200hp fairly easy (according to my local guru who has drag raced bugs longer than I've been alive) so the 230 Im hitting it with isnt a stretch but the CVs and axles wont take it.

Just a little update to the Wartburg 2.0 thread since a deal has been struck to equip her with a sharp new interior in keeping with her Subie theme.

Thanks Sachillies for the great deal and Thanks to Carzan for helping with the transport arrangements. Can't wait to get them here, its almost time to put the Wartburg in the shop for the winter and actually start putting some of these parts in place.
