    Does anyone know the differences in weight between these three series of engines?

    B > K > D

    B = D+ 125

    K = D + 80

    All IIRC.

    I know it wasn't part of the original question where does the H series fall? Heavier than all three?

    Also, is there much difference in weight between the dohc and sohc d series.

    The K series is absolutely HUGE, it can't weigh less than the B series.

    There's a lot of air. The K is lighter.

    H/F-series is the heaviest. And no, no difference worth fighting over between the dohc and sohc d-slammers.

    I thought the K was heavier as well. I guess that's what I learned today.

    I have limited experience with the weights of Honda's engines....usually, the biggest issue when a swap is contemplated is the external dimensions. I believe the "K" family (K20 and K24) are the TALLEST , but the "H" family and "F" family....because they were produced in large displacements (which made them quite tall), are right up there with the "K".

    K-series are tallest, but the way they sit actually allow for more clearance than the H-series. Try sitting an H23 in an EG hatch sometime. You get to space that hood about 2" for that jdm tyte look, y0.
