I've just found out that Westfield is going to make a few more Eleven kits after shutting down production last year. Not many, less than a dozen. It's hard to say if they'll ever make more, so if you've been dreaming about building a replica of this little icon now's the time.

Thats stock spridget power. No uses that anymore. Pretty easy to double it with a rebuild.
Not sure if I'd recommend using a donor spridget wiring harness though :)

A bike engine would be much more plausible.
This car's all about light and slippery, doing as much as possible with very little. Evo magazine built one a while back and completely fell in love with it.

Good question. I've asked Westfield in the past, and they don't think it would fit. The body is shrink-wrapped around the A-series engine, and those things are tiny. The bike engine suggestion was actually one from Westfield when I had this same discussion with them.
You could certainly make the Miata motor fit. But I expect you'd end up altering the body.

I wonder if a Triumph Rocket III motor and tranny would fit. It' s a 2.3 liter 3 cylinder with 140 hp/150 lb.ft, sequential shift and shaft drive. It might be way to wide, tall, and heavy.
I've always liked the Lotus Eleven more than a Seven for some reason.

I think something with a dry sump system would have worked, but it would have been really close. One of the reasons the 1275 works so well is the ohv design. The engine is tiny, yet weighs a ton.

If you want the looks, but in a slightly larger package that can handle modern powertrains, take a look at the Kokopelli 11. It is a slightly scaled up 11 that is designed to take either an MGB or Miata.
I drove an MGB powered one a few years ago and had a nice dinner with Tom Rogers. It would've been a little nicer if my drive wasn't at night in February. It was a little chilly. Even the scaled up version of an 11 is tiny. Bring small feet if you want to drive one.

Ooo... I want one of those... it look like they're in MD too? Would save me on shipping
What I really want is a Lotus 23 kit, but those appear to be on the pricey side (all I've found is the Xanthos from UK).

Yep. I went there one night while I was in DC for work. Emailed Tom and drove over, he took me out to dinner, we hung out and looked at what he had in his garage, then we took an 11 out for a brisk spin on some nice backroads. I don't know the weight, but just from seeing reall 11 and then looking at the Kokopelli, I think the Kokopelli is fairly stout as well as a bit larger than a real 11. The Westfield 11 is more like a real 11 in every way, but real 11's are tiny.

The Galek one has a MC engine in it. I think building one of these would make for an insanely fun (if not seriously competitive) B-Mod car.

wish I could build something like that... just can't register it in NJ. You have to title them as a modern, up the current year, car with all the emissions that goes along with it.
Not sure how a pre-built, pre-owned, pre-titled car would work
