What color should I go with for my 81 X?

I'm torn between the the darker blue, orange, the yellow on the bottom row, and the darker silver on the bottom row.

I think the darker blue is winning though.

I might have to go yellow with it, unless I went black.

What kind of message do you want it to send? Silver is more sensible, orange is more outrageous, lime green is where it's at. Or a retina-burning white.

A pic of your car would help. Current/planned mods? What do you use it for?

It's a Fiat X1/9. Click on where m4ff3w's avatar would be and it says it in his profile.

@ m4ff3w: The pic of your X in the Reader's Ride section won't show up on my computer.

Italian car? Red. You can also do the other red, which is yellow. Either looks great on an X.

Mine was electric blue, so I am kind of partial to that on the X19....

Red decks, white in the center, green bottom third. Or do the same Italian tri-color at an angle.

I'll get some pics up once I get it back on the ground (got new tires today)

Car is my daily driver & autocrosser (or will soon be autoXer).

Current mods are limited to Megasquirt.and rust. Once rust is fixed and paint is applied, she is getting a turbo.

    I have 3 x's right now. all three 85's

1 is Rosso / Graphite 1 is Rosso / Nero 1 is champagne / nero

Do you want to stand out in a crowd? Fly Yello over a black or red interior.

My Uno Turbo project will be repainted solid champagne. My DSP x will be fly over black interior with red seats The rosso / graphite c only has a little over 20k miles on it, so paint will remain factory for a while.

Go with what you like, but if I were going blue, I would go VW Porcelain Blue (1998 color)

    best regards, kevin

Dude, a good friend has several x's and all of the runners are fricken brown (2 74's and an 81)

Turd brown doesn't look good on any car.

+1, like I said in my original response. Even more so now that I see that picture.
