Ya I know it is not supposed to be about the presents but. .. . . Ya it is about the presents

So what did I get? My wife said yes to building the multi car garage / shop with three bays and a work area for tools and benches etc. I have been designing it in AUTOCAD on and off for about 3 months now. I am excited!!!!

Boring but functional presents, the usual socks, underwear, mixed nuts and pajamas.

I also obtained spousal permission/approval to attend the 2010 challenge, this is most good.

The most helpful thing we got was a $125 Lowe's gift card. Handy, since we just bought a house.

And I bought myself a welder. (Not using the gift card.) Does that count?

My best present arrived today! Plans have been laid.
Myself and 7 other buddies from Ohio will be heading out to Southern California to compete in the 2010 Midwinter Regatta in Long Beach, CA in late Feb.
So, in Feb, while the temps here in Ohio will be zero (or lower), we will be spending a week on a borrowed boat!

Not really a Christmas present but I am more excited about it than anything else this time of year.

Since I originally posted this My brother gave me a christmas / house warming gift card to Home Depot. Since I also purchased a new home this year it was put to good use. Three new programmable thermostats sucked up most of the card. The rest I think are going to curtains or something. My wife claimed the balance for interior decorating.

I did not get any socks or long johns either.. . . No books and non of the usually see how badly we can embarrass Dean presents from my relatives. This is a case where I am afraid.. .. . Very afraid.
