E-mail returned. Anyone have any experience with the DOHC Lumina 3.4L motors? Seems like they would be a good option if they fit height wise.

FWIW, my uncle is a hard-core Chevy guy and he bought one new. He says it was the most horrendous POS he's ever owned. Four (!) headgaskets in three years of ownership, two of which GM paid for. The car wasn't abused, either. He's an engineer and he fastidiously maintains his cars.
