If I have a tube... and I want to intersect it with another tube but make it removable I use a round clamp that goes over the tube and the intersecting tube bolts to it.
Bonus question: Does anyone know of a place to buy them in standard tube sizes of about 3/4 to 1-1/4" diameters in aluminum?

Have a look at shaft collars from McMaster-Carr. Might be something there you can adapt.
