Looks like an Austin Healey of some sort.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is a replica Austin Healey.
Probably a Sebring kit version of the Healey.
Yeah, kinda looks like an Austin Healey 3000. I don't see the swage line, and that's fairly prominent on all big Healeys. Also, there are some serious flared fenders on this car. I wonder if this is a replica.
He said the "doors and trunk were flapping around when he was at high speed" and that it looked cheaply-built. So I'm guessing replica.

My best guess. That kit has varied in it's details, but always looks like a crap knockoff...
Not a Weissman?
Tail lights and trunk speak of Austin Healey 100 (pre-3000) but other things like flares lead to a kit like Sebring but description is a good indicator of a poorly modified kit. Hate to think that someone would butcher a real A-H 100/3000 to make that as they are $$$ now.
Now that Weissman is hot though.
Gee, why include a picture?
Seriously, I am pretty good at identifying "unusual" cars, but when all you have is a rear shot...why bother with a picture?
Sorry, sometimes my family says I can be a real deckhead.

Because it was good enough for everyone else and got him the answer?
Yup, Sebring.
