Today I made a frame for a sun/rain shelter for my open trailer out of PVC, but since I had to buy 10' pieces and I didn't need any longer than 7 feet, I have about a dozen 3-4' sections left (1 1/4"). The stuff isn't expensive but seems silly to just throw it out. So what can I make with this stuff that might be useful for something (preferably related to the trailer, but whatever will do). I'm sure I could make a fishing rod rack or something, but I don't really fish so no real point in that. Anyone think of anything useful I could do with them (wouldn't mind buying elbows or connectors if needed...)

And in case anyone cares, here's my frame...which is not totally done. Covers about 7 x 12' section of the trailer and will have a heavy tarp over it, and can be disassembled and stowed on the deck in about 2 minutes...

With a reducer to 1/2" and a few misc connectors, you can make a pretty awesome water bottle rocket launcher?

What do you think about using T's instead of elbows on the top then using the stubs as like wings to hang an awning or clothesline or something off of? Could be good for a little shade or drying your gear out.

hmm, that's an interesting thought. The key would be to make it still able to be removed easily for stowage. Hmm.

I was going to link a bunch of pictures of projects I've found but they are all from this website:

I was going to suggest the PVC trash bag holder but there are a bunch more listed. Most are pretty cool but some are suspect (small trailer made from PVC? surprise)

I use 3 foot sections of PVC with caps on both ends to store my TIG filler rods to keep them from oxidizing

What diameter PVC? Here are a few thoughts:

- Shelter extensions (Like @RevRico mentioned)

- Tool storage (screw driver, wrench, garden, etc) Google image search "PVC Tool Storage"

- Bike rack

- Towel rack

- Shoe rack
