I'm passively looking for a 2005 Legacy GT wagon with a five speed to replace the E36. Not a very common combination. I check local Craig's List, eBay, and Autotrader. Where else should I be looking?

Subaru club/enthusiast websites & forums.
Back before the internet, I sometimes found success hanging around the indie repair shops for a particular marque. Some had bulletin boards (the old-fashioned kind with paper pinned a board), and others had staff members who loved the marque, and were looking to make sure good cars found homes with folks who'd appreciate them.

"Kijiji"
I'd never heard of it before. Not a lot there, but I can only assume as word gets out we'll have another place to look.
thanks Leslie.

eBay for several years now, enthusiasts forums and more recently Craigslist, but more than ever, buyer beware, experience counts.

I use this website all the time. It searches a bunch of different sites all at once, but mostly I use it for looking at a range of craigslist areas at the same time. I have noticed it will sometimes miss things from craigslist but it's pretty good usually.

Another Kijiji user here. I bought my last 3 cars there, and it seems to have a lot of momentum in this area.

My brother has one, but its not for sale. Great car though! I get cars through word of mouth, so let everyone you know what you are looking for and maybe some aunt's neighbor is looking to sell but hasn't advertised it yet.

For newish cars I'll use autotrader if I want to buy from a dealer, otherwise craigslist and enthusiast forums.

I rarely shop for anything nice. I normally drive thought bad neighborhoods and look in people's yards. If I see something l like and they don't have a huge dog or look like they own firearms then I'll go up and ask if its for sale
