Hello all, first post on the new board. I have an arctic cat 700 twin which I would love to transplant into something for the local autoX, Any ideas appreciated.

700cc is not legal for Fmod but you can run Amod.

find an old F500, retrofit the motor in, add wider wheels and tires, add huge ass wing.

the end, you will TEAR it up

Or you might go backwards in time. Either way, should be fun.

Where should you stick your snowmobile engine? In anything smaller and lighter than a snowmobile. Duh.

Good ideas. I was thinking that a blown up crotch rocket would do as a frame.

Use it to run a tank ventilation fan to create a "sucker" autocross car.

Oh wait, that's been done already.

IIRC, it's a 800 cc 3 cyl Rotax unit. All I know is it's LOUD and FAST.

That 700 cc powerplant will quickly overwhelm a go cart chassis, I wouldn't waste any time going that route. It's only legal (IIRC) to use such a powerplant for an AM car, since it's not an automotive derived unit.

Better study hard if you are gonna go up against George.

Miata? Or, how about a Berkley? We even have one stacked on top of our spitfire parts car under the treehouse.

    Tommy wins.

12" slicks on a Berkeley + huge muffin wing + added lightness + 700ccs of WHAAAAAA! = a fun sunday in AM.

You know, I think a Berkely would be cool too, Is it for sale?

I believe you were looking for:

directly up your 69 MG Midget.

I don't believe we collectively have a code word for A$$, so I substituted the car I've owned for 20 of my 32 years. My gift to you.
