Should I transplant a ej20t or a eg33 into the 911? I am leaning eg33. Either one I will use megasquirt. I found headers & cams for the eg - close to @300hp should be achievable.

You cant go wrong either way. I guess it depends which one you can get a deal on. EJ205s are relatively cheap and easy to get. The ej207 avcs can be a pain but the semi closed deck is nice. The eg33 is great kept NA and just seems "right". But you can usually find a cheap ej208 and it is just cool (well in my head anyways) to say that you have a twin turbo.

EZ30D or R if you can swing the cash

Just a hair longer than the 4 cylinders, timing chain, modern engineering.

The D only has 2 exhaust ports so exhaust packaging becomes incredibly easy.

The R has cam phasing and 6 exhaust ports. It also makes more power. But my understanding is the D is hardly a slouch.

I've got a good EG33 if you are interested.

    EJ20T's are usually more expensive.

    And more complex.

If you don't go for the EZ series, I'd vote for the eg33.

eg33 will be more simple to deal with.

The flat sixes will sound better.... IMHO. I'd rock the eg33.

Easier to get stupid power out of the turbo 4's, but you're going to have to deal with turbo/intercooler routing. I don't think you're going to lose with whatever you put in. I think for the work, I'd put in the Ej25T- starting argument is 300hp, and the sky's the limit from there.

EJ25T for sure. Doing this right won't be easy or cheap. Don't cheap out on the basics and limit your headroom, or make it excessively difficult to achieve what the engine is capable of.
