Yes, but shop it around. Here for example, Petrys will give you scrap steel pricing for a cat, or about $10 max. Dexters will base it on the Platnum content, and I've gotten as high as $160.

Import cats are worth more. You might try ebay (my subie cat fetched $100).

ask around, ALOT.
If you know anyone at a local junkyard, see if they'll tell you who they sell theirs to. Don't just take it to the scrap metal place and expect to get top dollar.
Ebay is another option- just research the current + past listings, since Ebay has some weird rules about what you can and cannot say- and they WILL cancel your listing if they think it violates these rules.
Keep in mind that scrap cat prices are now about 1/2 of what they were a couple of months ago, when Platinum prices peaked.
I asked my local buyer about some cats I have, and he quoted me $75 for a cat that would have brought $150 back in July.
