New here. I've got a 24 Hours of LeMons car that we've raced at Buttonwillow for 3 years and are getting ready for the Willow Springs event in March.  Signed up here to research some cheap speed!

Good afternoon, Joe here from Medford, NJ. Just joined for a few reasons. Lemons/Champ advice, normal car talk, and hoping to find some help with a couple projects. Looking forward to meeting new faces, and learning a bunch.

Hello, I'm Chris from Gilroy, CA. I've driven trucks/SUVs/minivans for most of my life. I finally decided that it was time to sell our Sienna and Highlander, bought the wife a new Explorer and bought myself a 2011 GTI with 20k miles on it. I attended a couple autoX and one track day at Laguna Seca last year. I wound up going down the stage 1 tune/suspension upgrade rabbit hole. I found this forum while researching track/autoX tires.

My other hobbies are machining (small CNC mill, manual lathe), high power rocketry (I've flown up to M power), and photography.

If you ever need a custom bracket, spacer or other widget made let me know.

Mike from CT.  It struck me the other day I have been subscribing to GRM for about 20 years now.  That's 2 marriages,  4 dogs and the births of 2 children long.

I've loved cars since I was a kid and have owned just under 90 of them in 30 years of driving.  I havent spent much time on a track in the past 15 years but I do SIM race quite a bit and I'm hoping to get involved in Lemons soon.

OK, I am definitely not a real newby, but have been very inactive for too long.  Serious health problems have slowed me down a lot, but got some seriously good news from my cancer doc today.  I am in full remission from leukemia!!  So, happiness has ensued.  One year of chemo does a number on you, but it worked.  I have too many doctors to go see, but they all are very pleasant and professional.  Anyway, I will be here, and hopefully will be able to be helpful again.  Old handle was cwh, my initials.  Do I still get to be a Dork??

Hi Guys,

Steve is my real name.

Design Engineer in motorsport brake system development. Materials science, thermodynamics, solid state chemistry, dyno testing, tribology, hydraulic systems and all that stuff we like to talk about over a beer at night. Love my motorsport and tinkering with physics on four wheels. Prefer to get dirty in pit lane than drive.

I'm here to learn and hopefully share some knowledge and ideas. Maybe debunk some BS marketing about brakes too, ;-)

Please don't ask who I work for. Im not here to sell anything. This is my hobby.

I'm an Aussie but work in the USA, west and east coast. Sorry there may be additional A, E, I, O, U's in my spelling. 8-)

Cheers

P.S Like to fish too if any one has some advice for Pac NW.

Hi all,

I build cool Motorsport stuff. I like to get community engagement in the things I build and this forum is one way to do that.

Shortly I'll be posting a new project I've started. And can't wait to hear what you guys have to say about it.

My work is all open source, so anything I build is available for download. It's just one way for me to help pay the bills and also better the community.

See you on the threads. Best Matt

Rock here. Originally from Greenland. Greenland, Arkansas that is. I'm into first generation Dodge Avengers, 1995 - 2000. I have two 98 Avengers now, one for the street and one for the track. Have been involved in dirt track racing almost all my life but always wanted to run on road courses. Started doing that last March at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Oklahoma and ran a ChampCar race at Watkins Glen last May.

Mark here, I've been enjoying the forum as a lurker for quite a while.  What a great group you have here.

The fun car is a 2011 Mustang GT California Special in race red, 6 speed stick basically stock except for Roush axle back mufflers.  (It's never to late to have a happy childhood, lol)     We've had the car since February of  2016 and enjoy it for day and weekend trips.

Hey y’all I’m Jerry and I’ve also been a lurker for some time (under a different username) and really enjoy absorbing the knowledge here. I figure it’s time to step forward and say hi, and start contributing to the party.

Ive always been a classic car nut but pretty much enjoy driving anything fast (or at least as fast as it’ll go) and have really been looking to try my hand at autocross lately. I’ve never had a turn around the cones but at the moment I’m working on getting my old wagon up to decent enough shape to make a few runs without falling apart.

That’s been taking some time (as all projects do) but between now and then I’ll keep dropping in on posts to watch and learn, and also try to keep my berkleying foot out of my mouth.  No promises though.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fun fact, there are now two 67 Falcon wagons on this forum...
