No need to even source a turbo, just get a plain ole 13B with better than stock ports can provide PLENTY of power and good weight balance, plus I imaging you could set the engine fairly low in the escort bay with a little fabrication. For once the Escort would be a Rev happy machine.

    Good weight balance? A 13B is NOT a light engine; the weight balance gained from a rotary comes from how small they are in terms of external dimensions, and how far back (and low) in the chassis they fit. Works great in a RWD, but a FWD is gonna require it sitting square over the front axle-line.
