It's still a few months out, but the GRM Experience at the 2011 Rolex 24 At Daytona is coming together. Tickets are on sale now by calling 1 (800) PIT SHOP, or you can visit this URL to enter the VIP contest...

There's an event page coming for it too, but it's not quite ready for public use until we tie a few loose ends. Ticket prices grew slightly but we've packed in more value to ensure it's still a terrific value compared to regular Rolex 24 tickets. Tickets are $119 this year, but we've added and improved some key areas for participants.

The big news for 2011 will be the Thursday night welcome party. Mix and mingle with racers and team personnel, bench race with fellow participants, or bend the ear of your favorite GRM staff member.

Also, there's a new dinner menu. Hot dogs are out, chicken pasta is in. You'll also get fire roasted veggies, Caesar salad, gourmet cookies, and all that jazz.

There's still no camping allowed in our area (Daytona's policy, not ours.) but we've been told the grassy area surrounding the GRM Experience tent is available for campers on a first-come, first served basis.

As always, plan on joining the GRM staff for paddock tours and meet-and-greet opportunities throughout the event. Stay tuned for further updates, we'll see you all in January!

If only all events were so conveniently located! I can't wait to see the repaved track in action. Last year I didn't get to watch as much of the Continental Tire Challenge race as I would have liked, I hope to remedy that in 2011.

I'll second Tom's enthusiasm about this awesome event. Come join us for the coolest race of the winter; when else do you get a chance to wear GRM wool hats in Florida?

I went in 2008 and had a lot of fun. I hope to make the pilgrimage back this year, we will see how the school schedule works out.
