I'm bringing back the recently tuned shadow. You're all berkeleyed now.

    fixed.

We'll see. I"ll never say never, so it's a possibilty that I'd bring the Shadow back, but it's a slim one at best. She's probably retiring from Challenge duty so I can beat it mercilessly at a few SDAC events next summer.

Just went through some numbers, and we've already amassed 140 manhours on our 2010 car so far. I'm so proud of our people, at this point last year we were an idea looking for funding.

Just another thanks to the magazine for such an amazing competition. I love doing this.

Our Mk1 MR2's have done very well. 2006 being our best year: 1st autocross, 1st concourse, 3rd overall

I am preparing for it the same way I did for all the previous Challenges: I am wishing I had some $$$ to enter something. I am eagerly awaiting the posts and websites to pop up. And I can't wait for the coverage in the Magazine! Perhaps they will move the date away from the only week on the calendar that I have a standing annual appointment that I cannot get out of and I can actually get there!

BAH man up and grow a pair.....J/K seriously, My anniversary is on Oct, 2nd.....I've been to the last 3, my wife finally gave in and decided to build a challenger of her own this year, now if I can rock, paper, scissors my way into the presidential suite, she'll be really happy.

Not a bad idea, for the price we paid we could put all 4 in 1 car and still have plenty of money for other stuff

    I've got this so far..

Nobodies posted on this thread in almost a month so I'll bump it back to the top.

What are some good sources for challenge friendly priced rims?

Craigslist is turning up nothing and ebay hasn't been much help.

Also, how much does everyone normally allow for rims and tires.

For what vehicle? 13" Diamond steelies show up for $100-$150 every so often. Aero Race Wheels had an incredible closeout where I scored some 15x10 for around $150 shipped. Crazedlist.org? In reality you are probably better off stuffing someones throw away Hoosiers on your stock wheels than spending big money on tires. The tires are Waaaaay more important than the wheels.

For my 1987 CRX. I'm good on tires but need to have 15" wheels to take advantage of the tire source I have found. Right now I have a LOT of 14" steelies and that's about it.

Ha, and I thought I was the only one who's anniversary fell during the Challenge! I got to go last year, and I'm definitely going this year, I'm hopelessly hooked!Someday, I hope to field a car with her.

The Aeros wont work without adapters. They are 5 bolt. Kosies(sp?) are common in 15x7. Im sure diligent shopping will turn up a set eventually. If that isn't enough wheel, I want in on your tire source.

  • jwdmotorsports

    Jan. 15, 2010 6:53 p.m. jwdmotorsports HalfDork

In reply to MrJoshua: That's what I'm looking for. 15x7 for under $150. Seems like if I were to add $100 to the price range I've been looking in I could find a set of rims real quick.

Just wanted to get an idea if I was looking in the right price range or not.

I hit the U-Pull and Pay for wheels. Just find out what other cars have the same bolt pattern, and at least the same hub diameter.
