transportation costs must be counted in the budget...but of course, if you were going that for some other reason, then that's ok.

that's what they're trying to say.

Wait, did I spoil the fun?

That's the good thing about going to a large state school. As an organization, we've got family in just about every major metropolitan area in the state.

I'm trying to not beat a dead horse, but I don't think you are understanding.

The rules require transport costs be included in the budget.

Just drove 8 hours across the state to pick up a $250 P.O.S., and I'm getting started on studying for an exam at 11pm the night before. I love this hobby.

An 8 hr drive to pick up a Challenger should include 8 hrs each way worth of transport costs in the budget. If you covered 800 miles and got 20 mpg, that's something like a $100 hit to your budget just for the fuel.

However, if you drove 8 hrs to visit your friend but happened to pick up a Challenger while you were there, there is a $0 hit to your budget.

I know you guys can find the loopholes better on your mid-term exams!

Well the S10 is completely torn apart again, even more than last time, time to start again with a whole lot of welding.

Yea, this is going to be the trickiest part of the build, actually - the suspension. I can't use any of the cool stuff already in the shop! There's a set of KYBs and "lowering springs" on this E30 already, but I have to make them into coilover fronts and use a coilover-style rear spring, at the very least... I'm going to be looking for some used/cheap coilover style springs to buy, and then we will whittle some front perches out of scrap. I guess I'll hand build some fixed camber plates? Ugh, its painful, but I can't use our own stuff.
MrJoshua wrote: BTW-hurry up and build the LSx E46 mounts, I am getting impatient!
Yea, I'm buying two E46s in the next week, one of which will be for a future LSx swap (not $200X related!)...

Not true! You COULD use the parts you guys make, BUT they have to be available to ALL competitors at those prices.

It wouldn't be that bad Fair, you would only have to offer the sale price to people who are officially entered in the challenge.

Any money we can save on the paint side of things is just more money we can spend on making it go fast.
