So, a little follow up, the car has "emissions problems", so I'm passing it up rather than trying to fight the smogotistas.

I don't mind the emissions test, I just wish they'd relax their grip with the rest of the inspection. Seriously, if I can pass the sniffer with a 429, what does it matter if it's in a Corolla?
