i saw an interesting suby swap into a focus, awd and all... I mean since we don't get the awd focus over here it certainly would be unique.

    Since someone said Focus...

If a Mustang rear axle can be "bolted in" to a Focus, how hard would it be to install a Ford Escape V6 and AWD transmission and match the final drive in the 7.5/8.8" rear?

I was thinking stick to subaru ... I know it sounds too normal, but I'm thinking really cool daily driver vs some weird track monster. So an late 90's early 2000's outback sport/2.5 RS would be interesting. What my wife wants and I also like are mid 2000's foresters. Something simple ...

Now the craigslist searches for "Subaru', and 'Head Gasket".

    99 legacy outback - $900

    '90 Legacy, make offer

    '97 legacy wagon 1K

'98 Forrester 5spd! $1200 This one is my favorite ... I would low ball the offer of course!

    But first comes the re-build.

I know where you can get a 93 Legacy Wagon for cheap ;) And seriously if you are looking at early legacys stop looking for one with a blown headgasket! You can get runners for $500 or less and we could use the spare 2.2 just in case :)
