Yup. Sounds like the owner has kept it up too.

The remaining $210 buys a can of wax and a boatload of beer!

That was my car. My son and I built it. I sold it to the current owner a few months after the 2008 challenge to help finance and free up space for another project (not challenge friendly). It has been extremely hard not to go buy it and drive it back home. The garage and driveway are just too full.
It ran the quarter, if I remember correctly, in the high 13's at about 104mph; with lots of tire spin. I only had street tires, no slicks. Street tires held it back in the autoX as well along with a few other issues; front-end alignment, shocks, etc.
i should have bought it the first time
