Well the hearer core in my DD decided to spring a small leak as the glass has started fog up after driving for about half an hour and will not stop unless you keep the sunroof or window open. Since it has been raining and cold here for the last four days It has been rough.

Has anyone here tried fog X with a leaking heater core ? I have used fog-x in the my race car years ago and it seemed to work ok (no heater core ) but this was for an short amount of time.

    Thanks Paul B

Run some sodium silicate throught the heating system, it will resolve the leak if it is a small one.

If the stop leak does not work I would bypass the heatercore at the firewall first.

I still have it bypassed, and it is cold.

I find fog x is pretty picky about application and helps reduce fogging a little bit, I doubt it could keep up with a decent heater core leak. I know my bad heatercore overwhelmed it, but it was not a fresh application. Plus when you clean off the antifreeze film it wipes off the careful time consuming layer of fog x.
