    In reply to dculberson:

Such a Unicorn exists: AWD 850, wagon and sedan, manual trans even, pretty much the rarest of the rare in the US.

There were tons of AWD V70s and quite a few AWD S70s too. You've got to get an R if you want a stick. V70R would be the pooh!

As far as caravans go, the AWD system is pretty much bulletproof. They'll get 17-22 depending on how you drive it since the awds came with the bigger motors (3.3/3.8).

What's the deal with daily driver Subarus lately?

I've always wanted to see someone do a turbo motor swap to one of those AWD Caravans.

Awd supercharged previa. Über reliable, I think more cargo capacity than my friend's Tahoe, and 4,000 should buy you a mint example. They drive really nice for a van, and as an added bonus, they use a pretty standard offset 5x114.3, so lots of stock alloy take offs fit. Mine currently is rocking 300zx rims I got with decent tires for 200$.

I've been wondering how well the 3.3 responds to boost.

There is one 3.3/604/awd van swapped to 3.0/5spd/awd. Not making any real power yet but a roots blower is planned.

My 2.5turbo/5spd/fwd caravan has an AWD rear axle in it waiting for me to hook my 52hp electric motor to it. The 2.5 is being swapped to 3.0+m90 as well. They will not be directly connected, but it will be AWD.

There is a 2.4L (think srt4)/568/awd omni that runs and drives using the caravan PTO and rear diff.

There is a 3.0 shadow that has made 500+whp going AWD using the van PTO and a gm 10 bolt rear.

I've been wondering how well the 3.3 responds to boost.

I have a t67 and an AEM FIC waiting to go on my 3.3 car. I need to finish the VNT 2.2 on my engine stand so i can throw the extra 3.3 on and mock up the turbo plumbing.

What about a Focus wagon or Saturn wagon? Both available in the price range and with three pedals..

It's in Canada (barely) and they don't list mileage, but it's even got the rear jump seat and cage.
