When the Subaru Impreza WRX STi busted on the scene, it had one purpose: to dominate on dirt and asphalt. Today one of the factory-backed road racing cars is up for sale. This 2006 Impreza WRX STi claimed the ST2 class championship in the Super Taikyu endurance series back in 2005. The car is for sale on wirewheel.com for $32,900.

Given what a stock STI of this generation goes for, at least in the Rockies, this is an incredible deal. If the thing is halfway reliable, that is... If it's the EJ20, as opposed to the EJ25 we got stateside, it should be alright. If it is the larger engine, I hope it has some factory oiling system upgrades!

You couldn’t build a 1/4 of that car for that much cash. It’s a helluva deal and I’m wishing I wasn’t poor!
