Got the hood open by cutting thru the hood. The hood release itself was stuck shut. The weird thing is it wasn't stuck when I went and looked at it.

a mixture of automotive paint thinner and wax & grease remover.

We used to use it all the time to remove the adhesive from the lettering on box trucks when I worked at the collision repair shop.

Did you just mix it 50/50 and apply or apply them separately but at around the same time?

I use a 50/50 mix, Sometimes 60/40 and apply it with a rag, then usually scrape it with a putty knife/gasket scraper. Sometimes apply it twice then scrape.

Good idea to buy a gallon of each.

And trying to figure out the strut options. May involve an A1 VW front struts.

Ok so there is a small hole near the seam in sill. The metal around it seems fairly solid. Should I just Bondo that small hole and put POR-15 over it or weld it up?

I have been doing body work and removing things like the heater.

The roof rack is deleted and the holes filled in. The side trim is removed and I have removed a decent amount of rust from the passengers side.

Does anyone know of a cheap source for fender mirrors?

Do you think it would look bad to have the interior of the car painted black and the outside a different color?

So the hatch is kinda E36 M3ty. I am pretty sure that I can't really repair it correctly. If I coat it with POR-15, will I be able to get this decently smooth with some work?
