Not exactly vintage racing, but there were a couple of '80s RX7s and a 240SX in addition to the later machines. I was just a spectator Sunday at the Alaska Sports Car Club ice races at Big Lake, about 60 miles north of Anchorage. Temperatures were near zero, but everyone seemed to be having a great time.


I was interested to see that the CASC rules require removal of lights due to the danger of breakage. The ASCC racers all run with their headlights on so they can be seen in the flying snow.
