I hope to be alive at that age, let alone buying a new camaro

    Good for him though.

I wondered that too. Anybody know if the transformers edition is available in Auto? In the video of him drving, his hands were at 10 and 2 the whole time.

In the movie it was an auto.

Did you see him close the door by pushing on the frameless window glass? That is a recipe for an @ss kickin around here.

I think at 101 and that it is his car... he can do what he wants to it.

Who knows.. in a few years that car might be worth more because of who owned it?

Ten bucks says I get stuck behind him on a great stretch of 2-lane when he is going 25 and I can't pass!

Car guy? 101 years old and he's only owned 40 cars?

    I think not.

The only thing better would have been a big, fat, smokey burnout in the parking lot.

Not to sound like an idiot, but I never understood what the hell he was talking about in that movie.

This story gives me hope that in my future, I will also be a cool old man who drives fast sports cars. Way to go, Virgil.

Well, he's got me by 36 years. Not very likely I'll make it to 100, but if I do, I want a 240Z, not some bloated Camaro. With a stick. And a 73yo chicky sitting next to me.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I'd guess Mr. Coffman's Camaro probably has a slush-box. But hey, my grandfather only recently got rid of his truck, which had a real transmission.

Better that than a new Caddy with 18" whitewalls and a fake convertible top.

But all at once? That would sound more like us...

But think about it...that's an average of 1 car every couple years or so...

My aunt lost her drivers license for passing my uncle on a narrow country road. She was 98 at the time. He was running about 10 over and said she was running at least 90 in her 1971 Impalla The family took it away from her before she killed someone. She always did drive like a bat out of hell. Used to sit on a boat cushion so she could see over the steering wheel. I sure do miss her. She was a character.

My father recently turned 88. He currently drives a Ranger with a "stick" as it was the only one he could find as a 4X4 with a regular cab. If it wasn't for my Mom....and the need to drive a 4 door sedan that she could feel "comfortable" driving, my father would be driving a Mustang.

He still does okay driving, at his age, but he sort of bothers me by not ever using cruise...at least for those trips I would, and he drives faster than I would, nearly all the time. (I guess I'm turning into an lod man.)
