I don't know if it means anything to anime fans on here, but my daughter is the Title Producer for the new anime 3d films (as in Toy Story Pixar type of films) being produced by Funimation.
Does a lot of Japanese work.
I'm told they are big in that world.

My (16 y.o.) daughter's dream is to be a manga or anime artist. She reads and watches as much Shōujo as she can get her hands on or find on the internet (with guidance of course). If she isn't reading or watching it she is drawing it and fully intends on going to Japan after high school for more formal Japanese art training. She also started taking Japanese as her foreign language this year and pretty much eats (literally), sleeps and breathes anything from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Funimation's fairly well respected. They're known for buying the rights to a series that some other importer has seriously screwed up (through translation error and editing) and fixing it.

For the most part Japan's been coming to them, and they do a lot more than Japanese anime.
There's a huge uptick in product coming from them soon. Lots to be released. She's been meeting with people you'd never guess.
