I just got notice that I finally got the new job that I have been interviewing for for almost a year now!

I can't say who I'll be working for or what I'll be doing (just that it's... the government); but it's the first time I've ever thought "wow, that would be a cool job!", applied to it, and actually got it!

All those years of not trying drugs, staying away from college parties, and trying to be a decent, law-abiding citizen have paid off. Sure, I never made it to Wall Street, but now I get to serve my country in some capacity and that is a cool feeling.

More good news: since I'll be near Washington DC, my home track will once again be Summit Point Raceway! I can't wait to see Shenandoah again.

    Congrats!

Your lack of detail points to something nefarious/interesting!

Congrats! Yes, it must be very cool. I can think of a couple of thing it may be. Very neat.

FB? Facebook? Too many acronyms! Lol. I should get used to it though.

I had a CJO from the * * * with the * * * down in DC. My EOD with * * * is TS SC, so keep it on the DL.

I'm excited though. What's really strange is that I still don't know what I'll be doing. I was told to apply for one position which is extremely generic with them and really says nothing about the job. Then I interviewed and they told me almost nothing about the position. When I got the acceptance letter a few months ago, it had a different job title on it which I cannot find any information on (at all).

But it's a cool job title.

Congrats on the new gig, and I also know someone who was interviewing for a job with Uncle Sam, and the process took 18 months . 11 of those were AFTER they contacted their current employer for a reference ...talk about a strained work relationship.

I hope it was worth the wait. If youre working with our uncle, try to do something about those dumbtarded NHTSA rules, or maybe just do away with them...ya know, if ya got a free minute to look into it...

I've always said that if I reach a point in old-age where my health is on the decline(and having never done drugs/alcohol), I'm going to go out high as a berkeleying kite!

Just imagine what the grandkids would think...
