When I was at my local U-pull-it, I had over heard one guy ask about some "new" trucks sitting in the prossesing area. Employee responded that the engines cant be sold... I wonder if those came in under C4C?

Hard for me to agree with that. They have their problems, but it sucks to see one in decent shape destroyed. Link below. The guy did try to sell it and had no takers.

I just watched the video.....looked like a very clean car.

Well, money talks, and it looks like the government was the only one willing to pay.

I saw a syclone in worse shape that than sitting in someones driveway, and i asked if it was for sale and the said $10,5k. Even though that one looks pretty beat up, I think it would still be worth at least $5000, or maybe more.

Yes there is, but I thought the car had to be owned for two, and registered for the last year. However, who is checking on this? How are the dates to be proved? Is it as simple as signing on the dotted line "swearing" that you are elligible?

I mentioned on another thread that the local NBC affiliate showed an '86-ish Suburban getting the Death Potion; while the engine was gasping its last, the camera showed the corner of the windshield with the PA inspection sticker which expired in March of '08! My guess is that the 'burban had been sitting in back of the guy's house with A Terminal Defect (like rust) so they bought tags for it and had it towed to the stealership. There's probably no specific inspection criteria, so everybody did a nudge-nudge, wink-wink. Who's checking on this? Probably the same guys checking six months from now to see if the engine's really seized up...

What's even scarier is that one state is prohibiting dealers from charging customers back the $4500/$3500 should the Agency That Determines This Stuff find that the trade-in was unacceptable...

regarding 300zx's and typhoons... I mean.. those things in absolute ratty condition are going on ebay for more than $4500, and thats assuming the purchaser got a vehicle rated 10mpg or higher for the full voucher amount.
Just hard for me to believe that someone would want to crush a car like that, and even harder for me to believe that a dealership in the business of making money wouldn't just give em $3500 cash and resell the vehicle on ebay at a profit.
