    No, I'm not talking about my Gertrude (who's more foxhound than beagle, anyway.) I just found out that there are 40 beagles up for adoption in Los Angeles.

    This was featured on NBC news Thanksgiving and the day after. It was almost heartbreaking to see the one beagle gingerly touching grass for the first time.

    One of the few times that made me think PETA still has a bit of work to do. Tho not sure how badly the treatment is if a dog almost never leaves a cage...yet is still "well" treated.

    Yeah, pets aren't nearly as sexy as furs and such.

    i'd only ever get a beagle if i was guaranteed that i could train it to sleep on it's back on top of it's dog house, and also to pretend that it's a WW1 flying ace when it sits on top of the same dog house.
