I am flying in to go to the Daytona 24 hour, but I was curious if anyone would be able to pick me up from the airport.

I could fly in to Daytona, but it's 500 dollars.

    Conversely, Orlando is 300.

    (Don't say rental car...I'm under 25...)

Conversely, anyone from the Daytona area want to come grab me and take me to the track? I'll buy you a full tank! (enticing, right?)

Do you wanna pay to be chartered in a twin Cessna 310 and go 300+ MPH from Orlando to Daytona?

When do you get into Orlando? Things get busy around the Rolex, but it would be good to have you in the neighborhood.

Not me, my dad. He lives by Daytona and flies his plane everywhere. He'd do it for gas money, but that pig will suck down $200 just taking off. It doesn't make any economical sense, but it sure is fun!

Check Jacksonville as well. It isn't much further than Orlando, and will be far more convenient for prospective ride givers since it's right on I-95.

I'm pretty flexible right now, but I took the Friday before the race off of work. I am going to be flying out of Detroit Wayne sometime in the late morning / early afternoon on Friday, and I believe it's about a 3.5 hour flight to FL.

Do all the rental companies have 25 yr old requirements?

Not requirements, but they require the insurance, and they jack the rates up. Like 90 dollars per day for a focus, jacked up... Weekend rates are even more expensive.

    https://www.foxrentacar.com/RentalPolices.aspx?@@=231201237@%C3%88%C3%87%C3%8B%C3%...

AGE Minimum Age for renters and drivers is 20. NOTE: Minimum age for renters and drivers on government orders is 18. NOTE: Renters and drivers under the age of 25 are subject to an underage charge of $14.00 per day.

Weekend rentals as low as $11 plus $14 = $25 day
Add fees and tax and this is likely $30 per day x 3 days = $90 plus fuel.
Carpooling will easily save you over $100!

This company is a $15 day bs fee.
