I wanna play... how about rusting your hood on purpose or putting big Mercedes or C4 Vette wheels on your car... oh how far the water cooled VW scene has fallen over the years...

WOW, you nailed it! I was just gonna say you summed up the VW scene 100% then I read the last part of your post
That's why i'm kind of glad i'm out of the VW scene for now, douchebags galore. I love them for what they are, not just, hey let's make it a show car!! alright, put on coilovers and drop em until the oilpan is 3 inches off the ground and throw some 1/2 inch spacers on with some RS's....done!!
Fallen? to say the least! another example where the new generation screws it up for the other young ones

word up fanbois!
I find it very irritating but at the same time...weirdly...drawn in...although I would never do that to my car. You have to admit though, compared to when the fast and the furious came out in theaters, theses guys are making the import scene a hell of a lot "cleaner" looking so to speak

yeah it is way better than clear tails and every civic at every light trying to "run you for pinks"

Oh yeah and screw those guys for ruining BBS RS's, what did those wheels ever do to them... now they've all been redrilled to fit a civic

I agree. The trend is a few years old now, so we're beating a dead horse at this point.
No desire to own a car modded like that, but I think a LOT of them look fantastic.

Exactly
I'm into more I guess than some on here because my friends are all into it but hey, it's fun
Well technically it's 12 years old, Fatlace that is, but yeah, the trend is a few years old by now

My favorite are the ricers who install body kits BEFORE they paint them, I don't understand why you wouldn't wait to have it painted? Are they that desperate to look stupid?

Nah, They spent all their money buying the body kit and can't afford to have it painted. And by the time they get the money for painting it will be so beat-up they won't bother.

yeah altezza tail lights kind of kill the paint budget
-

they spend their paint money on cans of yellow for random interior bits. Remember ricer law #15- Yellow makes cars faster.

haha I forget all the Ricer Laws lol I forgot that one. I always hated that, it looks so freaking cheezy.
all this crazy paint talk though.....uhhh Chimp......our cars in GT5?....LOL

On a more slightly serious note, I'm not really all that happy with the instant editing ability of digital cameras. Because, it's those "shot isn't quite right" or just randomly shot pics of relatives/things/stuff, that at the time were considered mistakes, that often make for the best memories.
And when was the last time you accidentlly ran across a pic of someone stuck in an address book (those are going away, too) or box, and sat for a minute and smiled. Hard to do that with an unprinted SD card.
I KNOW this is archaic thinking, but the historian part of me does wonder about this..
I was thinking the same thing, but I realized that while alot of the randomness of some pics is gone, I have taken ALOT more pics than I ever would have if I had to pay to develop them anyhow.
