I said I would do it. The others wouldn't. And... I live in Illinois. We don't have rallycrosses.

True stuff. St Louis has rallyx, but they are done for the year, too. IL just sucks :(

Our region runs a Winter Series in cooperation with another nearby region. We also run an indoor cart series...

For me, the "off-season" is the time I will have to spend to rebuild the "points cache" with the other half... otherwise, there will be no 2010 season for me...

My club,AMEC , is getting ready for the coming ice racing season. We are starting a "low cost" class, Stock Sportsman. I have retired from most racing and have been appointed Chief Steward for the upcoming season. so I will be busy.

Yeah, when I used to live out on the coast, autocross was year round (despite a solid 50% of events having rain). Move 4 hours South, where the weather is considerably BETTER, and these people take November-March off, and cancel events if there's any chance of precipitation.

Bunch of Bob Costas if you ask me...

We run in the rain as long as there's no lightning. Now those folks up in PA, they're a little off. They pretty much auto-x year round, in total E36 M3 weather. The first time I ever drove Andy Nelson's SBC powered FIAT, was a shake-down run at an auto-x in Baltimore... in the middle of January... in 34 degree rain. That was a cold, wet, horrible day, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Auto-crossing a 400hp, spooled rear, open top FIAT in the freezing rain was interesting to say the least.

SCR-SCCA runs in the rain too. However, we have had to cut two events short for tornado warnings. Buncha wussies, right?

^^ Forget the wipers did you bring a paddle?

    Wet

Not my car, but the only thing we stop for is August.

Edit: there were several cones at this event knocked over by bow waves.

Apexcarver CDC is running @ Hairy Grove this weekend. Ask the Polack how to sign up for it. I'll be there Sunday if it doesn't rain & I could use a good laugh watching your young a trying to pole that barge around a tight course.
