Morgan Stanley Hosts Conference at 5-Star Resort in Palm Beach

Despite a near collapse that required $45 billion in federal taxpayer bailout funds, Bank of America sponsored a five day carnival-like affair just outside the Super Bowl stadium this past week as President Obama decried wasteful spending on Wall St.

Is there like... a breakdown someone can direct me to for this? I can't see how banks can possibly need money with all the profit they make from interest unless that many people aren't paying their their debts...

I was sure Wally would have noticed this one...

I heard today (on NPR) that Larry Flynt has been lobbying Washington for bailout money for the porn industry.

You guys should be ashamed. One of you should surely have picked up on this before me!

I think he pointed that out a couple weeks ago...

The local paper ran an article today where they interviewed some other people in the adult entertainment industry who said Flynt is full of it - they said they're actually having a good year.

I'm not surprised that magazines are having hard times. Thanks to the internet todays kids don't know what it's like to have to sneak out into the woods and peel apart the muddy pages of a 2 year old Oui that someone lifted out of their old man's sock drawer just to see nekkid women.

Times are good for internet porn though. I would call porn a recession proof industry.
